How we help you overcome dependency

A Personalized Patient Experience

The path to recovery is different for each individual, the VIP Health team works together with each patient to build an individual treatment plan and medication assisted program. Recovery is a process that involves improving all aspects of a patient's life.

The Best Treatment Protocol

The Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) protocol combines medication with counseling and support to aid in the withdrawal and recovery from opioid substances. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recognizes MAT as 'the most effective treatment for opioid dependence.'

Our Treatment Protocol

A program Tailored for You

1. A program Tailored for You

We start with a comprehensive physical examination performed by a physician, lab work and a thorough psychological evaluation. We then create a recovery program tailored just for you that will take into account your history and your unique situation.

The Biological Component

2. The Biological Component

We utilize FDA approved medications such as buprenorphine, which have many benefits:

  • Reduces drug cravings and withdrawal symptoms, allowing you to stop taking opiates and focus on your recovery. Withdrawal symptoms for opiate addiction may include shaking, depression, vomiting, racing heartbeat, bone and muscle pain, and severe diarrhea.
  • Reduces cravings dramatically which lowers the chances of relapse.
  • Makes it possible for you to be productive in your daily life while treating your drug addiction. You can continue to work, attend school, and/or take care of your family.
  • You do not have to stress and worry searching for a supply of opioids just to avoid feeling sick.
The Psychological Component

3. The Psychological Component

We provide psychological counseling to help our patients break the cycle of opiate dependency. Group therapy provides a forum for patients to discuss an receive support while wrestling with pressures of work, school, family and daily life.

Group therapy sessions provide a structured and supportive therapeutic setting for patients to identify roadblocks that interfere with the recovery process. We teach our patients relapse prevention strategies so that once our patients taper down off of the medication they have the required skills to prevent relapse and to maintain their solid recovery plan.

Individual psychological counseling sessions are available by request.
